September 7, 2018 Black Methodists for Church Renewal (BMCR) endorse reparations in May 1969. BMCR creates demands, including $750,000 for the Black Economic Development Conference (BEDC), presents these to the Methodist Board of Missions. The executive committee of the board establishes $1.3 million for economic empowerment.
